#11 Brett Saliga scores to tie the game for the Casper Oilers PeeWee B at 4-4 in a back and forth game with the Vail Mountaineers at the Ice Ranch.
In one of the best Saturday games from the Littleton Slapshot Tournament during the MLK weekend, the Vail Mountaineers took on the Casper Oilers in a high scoring PeeWee B match up at the Ice Ranch.
The Oilers slid out to an early lead when Brett Saliga (2G) scored 57 seconds into the game and teammate Ryker Spiegelberg (2G, 2A) added another midway through the first to give them the 2-0 advantage.
Jacob McCormack cut the lead in half at the end of the first, while Tucker Jaffe (3G) and Henry Howe (1G, 1A) took control in the second period, scoring three goals in 3:03 for Vail to give them a 4-2 lead going into the final period.
Just when it looked like the Mountaineers had seized momentum, Casper came storming back with their own barrage of goals to complete the comeback. The Oilers netted five goals in the third period to pull out the 7-5 win, with Brandon Lambert scoring two in the final period and Eli Youmans (1G, 1A) putting the finishing touches on the victory.
