#49 Garin Smith scores on the power play with less than a second left in the first period to put Hyland Hills in front 1-0 against Colorado Springs at the end of the first in Silver Stick Tier II Bantam AA pool play action at the Promenade on Friday.
Rocky Mountain Regional Silver Stick Tier II Bantam AA pool play took place at the Promenade on Friday, with the Hyland Hills Jags facing off with the Colorado Springs Tigers.
The Jags got on the board first, thanks to Aidan Bender (2A) and Noah Takitani (2A) finding Garin Smith on the power play with 0.1 seconds left in the first period to put Hyland Hills up 1-0 after one.
After a scoreless second period, the Jags doubled their lead to 2-0 on another power play goal from Adam Wuth midway through the third. Ryan King would bring Colorado Springs to within one on an unassisted score with minutes remaining in the game, but that would be all that the Tigers could muster up as Hyland Hills was able to hold on for a hard fought 2-1 win.
#41 Adam Wuth scores a power play goal in the third period to give Hyland Hills a 2-0 lead.
