In an intense and highly competitive match up, the Rampage struck first with a power play goal from John Dixon to give them the 1-0 advantage on the lone score in the opening stanza.
Kaid Nieslanik answered back with a late second period goal for the Thunderbirds to tie it at 1-1 and it looked as if we were heading for a possible tie (there were two 22:00 periods), but the Rampage's Easton Burg had other plans, burying the game winner with 46 seconds remaining to stun the Tbirds and lead the Rampage the 2-1 win.
