The DU Junior Pioneers '02s got on the board early and often in the first period, scoring all six of their goals in the first to help lead them to a 6-1 win over the Colorado Yeti Bantam '02s at Family Sports on Saturday night.

The first period started out as a back and forth battle between the host Arapahoe Warriors '04s and the Colorado Yeti North '04s, as the Yeti's Joe Lingold (2G) scored two goals in the first two periods to keep them in the game early. However, Sam Pfeiffer (2G, 1A) scored on the power play and short handed, and teammates Renner Farrell (2G) and Jacob Reinholtz (2G) also scored twice, and the Warriors would score the final five goals of the game to lead them to a 9-3 victroy.

The Evolution '04s came out firing on all cylinders on Saturday night when they faced off with the Colorado Yeti South '04s. Gavin Schaffer (3G, 3A) and Roen Luke (4G, 1A) each had hat tricks, while Benjamin Ballantine (1G, 3A), Luke Schelter (2G, 2A), Nicholas Bowers (2G), and Peyton Wade (1G, 1A) all had big games to help Evo cruise to a 14-0 shutout win.

The Hyland Hills Jags '04s used a six goal first period to catapult them into the lead for good. Tanner Simpson (3G, 2A) had a hatty and Gabriel Harrison (2G, 4A) had a six point outing to help lead the Jags to an 11-0 shutout win over the DU Junior Pioneers '04s. Tyler Box (2G, 1A), Joseph May (1G, 1A), and Isaac Mansfield (1G, 1A) also all had a big game for the Jags in the win.
