2016 Presidents' Day Tournament in Colorado Springs - Saturday

Teams from all over the country descend on Colorado Springs for one of the largest tournaments in the Rockies

Saturday at Colorado Sports Center

Pueblo Squirt B Panthers vs. West Elk Wolverines Squirt B

     Jackson Cowan (3G) and Grady Lipoma (3G) each had a hat trick and teammate Duke Sloan added another goal, while goaltender Timothy Wonnacott was able to keep the puck out of the net as the West Elk Wolverines were able to shut out Pueblo with a 7-0 victory.

CSAHA Squirt B vs. New Mexico Warriors Squirt B

     Aiden Garner (2G, 1A) had two goals while teammates Taylor Hartinger and Gavin Richards also added goals for New Mexico, but goals by Andrew Kerchner and Keenan Pedroso and a late goal by Breck Buettner would tie it up and the final score would remain a 4-4 tie.

Cadet Ice Arena - Air Force Fieldhouse

Los Alamos PeeWee B vs. Texas Warriors PeeWee B

     Jacob Kelton (1G, 1A), Peter Loncar (1G, 2A), and Colson Zak (1G, 2A) all had multiple point games for the Texas Warriors in their 5-2 victory.  Tyler Weiss (2G) brought his Los Alamos team back to within 4-2, but an empty net goal by the Warriors' Nicholas Peddle would end any comeback hopes.  


#9 Jacob Kelton with a beautiful sharp angle snipe to put his Texas Warriors up 2-0. They would go on to win 5-2 over Los Alamos


World Arena - Main

Florida Golden Wolves Minor AA vs. Ventura Mariners Minor AA

     Ivan Bilyy (2G, 2A), Will Juengerman (1G, 1A), Jason Piller (1G, 2A), and Aydin Schwetz (2G, 1A) had multiple point games for the Ventura Mariners in their win over the Florida Golden Wolves.  Justin Gibbons (1G, 1A) and Christopher Robinson (1G, 1A) led the Golden Wolves, but the Mariners were able to hold on for the 7-5 victory.

Regis Jesuit Club Tier II vs. Team Wyoming U16AA

Will Desmond (1G, 1A), Dylan Kelly (1G, 1A), and Corey Peck (1G, 1A) all scored and had multiple point games for Regis Tier II and goaltender Marco Sandoval made 20 saves to preserve the shutout as the Raiders would win 4-0 over Team Wyoming.

World Arena - Ice Hall

Florida Golden Wolves Bantam AA vs. Utah Grizzlies Bantam AA

     The Florida Golden Wolves would use a three goal second period to help catapult them to a 5-3 win over the Utah Grizzlies on Saturday night at the World Arena Ice Hall.  Jack Cohen (1G, 2A) and Bailey Kaiser (2G) would pace the Golden Wolves, while Utah's Ethan Eder (1G, 1A) led the Grizzlies in a hard fought losing effort. 


The Utah Grizzlies' #21 Will Rutter scores the games first goal to make it 1-0 Utah, however, the Florida Golden Wolves would comeback to win the game 5-3 on Saturday night at the World Arena Ice Hall
